ICC earns triumph over Delta - Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal
BY MARK BEASONDaily JournalFULTON - Saturday afternoon, Itawamba Community College put its fate right where it wants it - in its own hands.The Indians took care of business in front of a large homecoming crowd, beating Mississippi Delta 34-10 at Lambert Stadium. The win puts ICC in second place in the MACJC North Division standings, and with two division games left controls its playoff destiny.The Indians are 3-1 overall and 3-1 in division play. Their lone setback was to Northeast, the division leader. Following a non-division game next Saturday at Southwest, the Indians finish up with two division games on the road. On Oct. 22 they play at Northwest and will finish the regular season Oct. 29 at East Mississippi."The past couple years we've gotten off to a bad start and really put ourselves in a bind to try and fight back to get in it," ICC coach Jeff Terrill said. "This year we've done better, and it's a lot easier when you are the team in control and not counting on help. We know if we take care of things on our end, we'll be in good shape."ICC took care of things on the field against a Delta team - more available
