Phagans' to host fund-raising luncheons, open house events - Newport News Times
Phagans' Academy of Cosmetology Careers in Newport invites the community to a week of fund-raising luncheons set for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Oct. 17, 19, and 21, to benefit Lincoln County Food Share. Refreshments will also be served daily throughout the week, and informational seminars are planned for area professionals, career counselors, and local businesses.Monday's luncheon will be a "Hot Dog Feast;" on Wednesday, the school will host a "Tasty Taco Feed;" and Friday will bring "The Great Burger-rama Hamburger Extravaganza." All luncheons will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until the food is gone. The suggested donation is $3 per person.Every person who visits the school this week will receive a free raffle ticket for a drawing to be held Friday, Oct. 21, for a range of prizes donated by local businesses.
