The scoop on Apple's new toys - San Francisco Chronicle
The good: The latest upgrades to Apple's iMac desktop line are focused firmly on multimedia. Both models have faster CPUs and graphics: The 17-inch model boasts a 1.9-GHz G5 processor and a 128-MB ATI Radeon X600 Pro graphics card; the 20-inch goes to 2.1-GHz with a 128-MB ATI Radeon XT card. The new iMacs' built-in iSight camera enables videoconferencing with iChat AV, Apple's IM client, and the included Front Row software and remote control provides a Media Center-esque front end for photos, music, videos and DVDs. Apple's new Mighty Mouse also comes standard with these iMacs.
