Norwood was part of history at Heights - Kansas.com
But Norwood himself was part of a talented athletic time at East High in the early 1950s. He was a junior on Ralph Miller's state championship team in 1951, and three years later was a two-time junior college All-American at Arkansas City Junior College (now Cowley College).
