Prestige college event tees off - The Desert Sun
The 54-hole tournament begins at 7:30 a.m., today, with a shotgun start at the Norman Course at PGA West for the first round. The teams will play 36 holes today, followed by 18 holes Tuesday, again starting at 7:30 a.m. The tournament has previously been played on the first weekend of November, but officials believe the move to mid-October will help teams finish 36 holes on the first day without having play suspended by darkness.
