James S. Brauch started out with a small family-owned print shop and became president of a major printing company.Mr. Brauch, 80, died Saturday at his home in Fort Thomas.An artist at heart, Mr. Brauch attended the Cleveland School of Art after graduating from St Xavier High School in Cincinnati.He first worked as a window dresser at Mabley and Carew, before taking a job with a local printing company.Mr. Brauch was a member of the Newport Rotary Club and a past president of the Craftsman Club in Cincinnati.In addition to his long hours at work and community involvement, Mr. Brauch was a devoted family man."He was always really busy at work and with extracurricular activities, but he always had time for us," said his son, Greg Brauch of Villa Hills. "He drove my sisters to swimming practices and tried to attend all of the swim meets.In 1970, Mr. Brauch opened his own printing business, Printing Inc., in Bellevue. The company had three employees: Mr. Brauch, his wife, Rosemary and his son Greg.The company soon outgrew the small shop, and Mr. Brauch purchased Advertisers Printers Inc. in Dayton and became its president.
