The funds arrive at a critical time and will support the university's Jag Mobile Clinic in expanding their services to address the medical needs of seniors and families who have been displaced by hurricane disaster and who have limited resources available to them. “One thing that we have learned from the recent hurricane crisis is that you have to be able to mobilize the people who are underprivileged or mobilize the critical services to reach them”, says Mr. Godfrey P. White, Executive Director of the Office of Elderly Affairs. A presentation of the contribution to Southern University's Dean of Nursing, Dr. Janet Rami is scheduled tomorrow in Baton Rouge.
