GREENVILLE — Emily Dudzik’s dream of a state tennis title ended for the third straight year in the state semifinals Saturday.The Greenville senior, seeded No. 2 in Division 2 No. 1 singles, lost 7-5, 6-4 to No. 3-seeded freshman Maggie Remynse of Battle Creek Lakeview at Michigan State University’s tennis courts. Remynse then fell to No. 1 seed Eunice Lee of Bloomfield Hills Lasher 2-6, 6-2, 6-3. Dudzik, who won her first two state finals matches handily on Friday, ended her season with a record of 29-1 and her four-year high school career with a 103-5 mark.“Both my sets were close,” Dudzik said. “I played OK, although I didn’t play my best. I had a couple of set points in the first set but I couldn’t take advantage.”Dudzik was up 5-4 in the first set before absorbing the loss.“She’s a good player,” she said of Remynse. “She didn’t miss many shots.”
